Dave Bowbeer, LMSW

I am a clinical Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan. I have been counseling through the Livingston Family Center in Pinckney since 2017 and am excited to offer my services through Crossroads Counseling in Ann Arbor as of 2024.
I have seen and experienced the power of transformation in the lives of those in need seeking help and support through difficult challenges and circumstances. I have had the privilege of providing professional social work practice to children, youth, and families since 2009, including populations impacted by homelessness, foster care/adoption, and juvenile justice backgrounds. In addition, my education within delinquency and infant mental health settings has been instrumental in forming my developmental, family system, and cognitive-behavioral approach to my clinical services.

My clinical areas of expertise include at-risk youth, adolescent development and maladjustment, and difficult or disrupted transitions into early adulthood through an attachment and family-systems approach.
Other clinical areas of interest include helping others experiencing men’s issues, addiction, compulsive behavior, marriage and relationship turmoil, and moral and religious struggles in one’s life.
I enjoy the pursuit of lifelong learning, organizing and streamlining things, collecting books, making memories with my wife and family, as well as finding time to rest and recharge between the fullness of my married, family, and professional life.
